Diving & Snorkeling in Madagascar
Madagascar's west coast offers some of the Indian Ocean's finest dive sites. Aboard the Nofy Be, explore pristine coral reefs, spectacular drop-offs, and exceptional marine life, far from mass tourism.
Equipment on board
The Nofy Be is equipped with a compressor and 20 diving tanks. Our diving cruises are supervised by an experienced PADI instructor who knows the west coast's underwater world intimately.
Exceptional dive sites
Each stop is an opportunity to discover unique dive spots:
Nosy Ve — Pristine coral reefs, sea turtles, tropical fish
Salary Bay — Drop-offs and underwater caves, rays and reef sharks
Barren Islands — Drift dives, schools of pelagics, whitetip sharks
Radama Archipelago — Soft corals, nudibranchs, macro photography
Nosy Be — Whale sharks (seasonal), manta rays, barracuda schools
Snorkeling for everyone
No diving certification needed! Snorkeling equipment is included with every cruise. The crystal-clear waters of the west coast offer exceptional visibility to observe marine life from the surface: turtles, clownfish, starfish, and colourful corals.
Best seasons
Underwater visibility is optimal from April to December during the dry season. Whale sharks can be spotted from mid-September to mid-December around Nosy Be. Humpback whales cross the Mozambique Channel from August to October.
