The Boat
LIFE ABOARD
Life aboard the Nofy Be is the authenticity of a first morning of the world! On our cruises along the west coast of Madagascar, you will be supervised by 4 sailors and 1 cook, and especially in the company of Laetitia or Fred, owners of this magnificent boat.

Our cruise departures generally take place in the morning, the day after your arrival. For the rest of the cruise stay, departures are early, following the rhythm of the winds, which allows for good sailing conditions. Nofy Be cruises favor full sail ahead, it is with the wind that we try to make you experience your journey. Most sites are extraordinary settings, untouched by mass tourism, in permanent contact with local populations. The winds are always on schedule. Generally the morning is marked by a wind coming from the land, therefore from the East, then, around noon, it turns to settle in the West.
In the southern winter, from May to October, the trade wind regime is quite sustained, so our schooner based in Nosy Be can sail on the northwest of the red island, where the winds are always moderate for dream sailing! Living to the rhythm of the wind, letting yourself be guided for maneuvers, are the key words for a journey in good spirits! The Nofy Be eco-tourism concept.
