FROM JUNE TO DECEMBER DEPARTING FROM NOSY BE IN THE NORTH-WEST
IN APRIL & EARLY MAY BETWEEN ANDAVADOAKA AND ANAKAO IN THE SOUTH-WEST
The pleasure is underwater!
The Perfume Islands’ dive sites are worldwide famous. You will not only find beautifully preserved coral reef, but also open sea breathtaking drop-offs. Meeting harmless Whale Sharks, Manta Rays and Turtles can frequently happen under water. And from the boat it is common to observe whales and dolphins at play. Most dive sites are rarely frequented and divers often feel they are the first to venture into this still untouched and wild environment.
Skilfully guided by fully qualified Independent diving Instructors, whether experienced diver or beginner on your first dive, they will ensure you get a memorable and safe experience of Madagascar's West coast underwater world.
PROFILE ONE OF OUR YOUR DIVING INSTRUCTORS :
(diving safaris departing from Nosy Be)
IDC Staff Instructor (PADI), Nicolas Jeanmart, started diving in the Reunion Island some 16 years ago.
He has since been exploring the sea floor of the Canal of Mozambique for the past 11 years.
He is qualified in underwater photography, deep sea diving, night dives and marine biology. He is also Emergency First Aid and Oxygen Therapy Instructor.
He will skilfully guide you through some amazing underwater sceneries. Whether experienced diver or beginner on your first dive, he will ensure you get a memorable and safe experience of the North-West coast’s underwater world.
Although these diving instructors operate from NOFY BE, TSANGA TSANGA SOA s.a.r.l., the ship-owner and operator of the schooner NOFY BE, doesn’t run, has got no control over, nor can accept any responsibility for the diving activities.
EACH DIVING OPERATOR will have onboard tanks, stabilising jackets, regulators, a compressor, an Oxygen Therapy kit, shorty wetsuits, masks, snorkels and fins; i.e. everything you need for an enjoyable dive.
TYPICAL DIVING CRUISE
We will sail NOFY BE as close to the diving locations as possible. The dives are then done jumping directly from NOFY BE itself or sometimes from our fibreglass tender propelled by a 15 Hp outboard engine for ease of access in and out of the water. After each dive you will come back onboard for the surface interval and a light snack while we sail to the next location.
On Diving Safaris/Cruises we can take up to 6 divers and 2 non diving passengers. On a typical journey you will be doing 2 dives per day (except on some sailing days) and one or two night dives throughout the cruise.
As the diving is done from a sailing boat we are at the mercy of the winds. Throughout the year, to make the most of the seasonal changes of prevailing winds, we will be based in various locations along the West coast of Madagascar as indicated on our Home page. However this programme can change, so we advise you to contact us to confirm our position before incorporating a Cruise or a Diving Safari within your travel plans.
